Day 1
Arrive Kathmandu, Nepal
Pick-up at Kathmandu airport. Transfer to the Summit Hotel overlooking the Valley. Optional late afternoon tour of Boudha Stupa with a welcome drink at the Stupa View. Evening free to relax after your long flight. Dinner on your own at the hotel or in town.
Day 2
Royal Chitwan National Park
Morning sightseeing of the Kathmandu Valley, followed by coach transfer (5 hrs) to Machan Wildlife Resort at Royal Chitwan National Park, where Roadrunners staff are waiting with motorcycles & equipment. Landrover 4x4 transfer across the river to our accommodations inside the park, home to the One Horn Asian Rhino and infamous Royal Bengal Tiger.
Day 3
Chitwan
Morning free to relax and join one of Machan's many
organized outings, including elephant back jungle safaris, dugout canoe trips, or 4wd expeditions into the surrounding jungle in search of tigers. Afternoon motorcycle briefing, assignment, and orientation, followed by a quick "shakedown" group ride on the highway to get a feel of the bikes. Buffet dinner this evening around a roaring fire.

Airfare: Paro, Bhutan to Kathmandu. Airport transfers as necessary. All hotel and guest house accommodations in Nepal, India & Bhutan. All meals in Bhutan. Royal Enfield Bullet 500cc Motorcycle, equipped with crash bars & leather saddle bags, all petrol, and back up mechanic & support vehicle with adequate space for seating & luggage. Day 4
Chitwan - Kosi Tappu Wildlife Reserve
Motorcycle tour starts today. After a hearty breakfast and check of riding gear & equipment, we will start out on Nepal's East West Highway toward our overnight accommodations at the Kosi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, one of Asia's top sanctuaries.
Day 5
Nepal to India
An early start this morning as we set out for the Nepal - India border at Kakarbhitta, where after border crossing formalities, we will ride on to our lunch stop near Bagdogra in West Bengal. Tremendous afternoon narrow mountain road riding along the Nepal Border through endless Tea Plantations, to our overnight guesthouse accommodations in the lakeside village of Mirik.
Day 6
Mirik - Darjeeling
After a leisurely start, tour continues up the mountain road as it winds its way to the famous old British Hill Station of Darjeeling, with commanding views of Kanchenjunga, the world’s 3rd highest peak. Accommodations at an old “Days of the Raj “ residence, turned hotel. Coal fires and hotwater bottles tonight! Proper dinner attire requested!
Day 7
Darjeeling - Kalimpong
Morning free to visit the Mountaineering Institute in memory of Darjeeling’s most famous resident Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, hike down to the Tibetan Refugee Camp for shopping, or just relax up at Chowrasta and watch Darjeeling life as it happens. Situated on both sides of a ridge with views into the Dragon Kingdom of Bhutan, Kalimpong once belonged to the Rajas of Sikkim. Dramatic after lunch ride with steep descent to the Tista River, where we will meet the main road to Sikkim, before turning onto the Kalimpong Road and following some really amazing switchbacks to our accommodations high above the village centre at the Park Hotel.
Day 8
Kalimpong - Phuntsholing, Bhutan
Early morning departure for our long days ride to the India Bhutan border at Phuntsholing. Accommodations at the Druk Hotel. Early evening free to wander around town or sample a Bhutanese spirit at one of the local restaurants. Buffet Dinner.
Day 9
Thimphu
Our adventure into the Dragon Kingdom begins, as we ride north on yet another narrow mountain road, this time a national highway!, to Thimphu, Bhutan's isolated capitol.
Day 10
Thimpu - Punakha
Morning sightseeing of Thimphu town, including the Tashi Chho Dzong, which is the centre of government and religion, and then on to the National Library & Kings Memorial Chorten. Afternoon ride over the heavily wooded Dochu La Pass (10,000 ft.) and down into the lush & warmer Punakha Valley, Bhutan’s winter capitol. Guest house accommodations.
Day 11
Punakha - Paro
Early morning ride to the amazingly picturesque Punakha Dzong, then back over Dochu La and on into the beautiful Paro Valley, another highlight of the tour. Fabulous accommodations at an old Bhutanese Royal Residence turned hotel, with stunning views of Paro Dzong.
Day 12
Paro Valley
Entire day free to explore the area, starting with a morning ride to the head of the valley for mountain views of the sacred peak Jomolhari 23,9996 ft., as well as a peek of the old “Tigers Nest” Taktsang Monastery site, and the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong. We will also visit the National Museum set high above the village with commanding views of the entire valley.
The museum here, housed in a wonderful old lookout tower, has an excellent collection of thanka paintings, bronzes, old weapons and nice display on the wildlife of Bhutan.
Day 13
Paro - Kathmandu Flight
Exciting morning flight on Druk Air back over the mountains to Kathmandu, with some incredible snowcapped mnt. views enroute! Afternoon free for last minute shopping. Evening group farewell dinner in one of the city’s trendy restaurants.
Day 14
Flight Home
Transfer to Kathmandu Intl. Airport for your flight home.
