| K2 was climbed in an epic expedition
by Italians. Probably the most remarkable feat was a forced
bivouac in the open high above 8000 m by the most acclaimed
climber Walter Bonatti. K2 is considered to be the most
difficult high 8000er.

Itinerary |
DAY 01 Arrival Islamabad and make necessary
arrangements.
DAY 02 Islamabad; Rest day and briefing at the Ministry
of Tourism
DAY 03 Drive to Chilas, 12 hrs. drive
DAY 04 Drive to Skardu , 8-10 hrs. drive
DAY 05 Sakardu &endash; Rest day and Final Preparation for
Expedition
DAY 06 Drive to Thongal, 8-10 hrs. drive
DAY 07 Trek to Jhola, 7-8 hrs
DAY 08 Trek to Bardumal &endash; Paiju, 7-8 hrs,
DAY 09 Paiju; Rest day
DAY 10 Trek to Urdukus, 7-8 hrs.
DAY 11 Trek to Goro, 6-7 hrs.
DAY 12 Trek to Concordia, 4-5 hrs.
DAY 13 Trek to K2 Base Camp (5100m), 5 hrs. DAY
14-50 Climbing Period of K2
DAY 51-56 Return to Askole or Hushe and drive to Skardu
DAY 57 Fly to Islamabad or drive to Chilas
DAY 58 Islamabad; Debriefing at the Ministry of Tourism

Fees
1. Royalty Fee of peak to obtain climbing permit.
2. Environment Fee non- refundable US$200/- per peak
3. Issuance of Environment bond of US $ 1000/- with out deposit
of any amount.
Official Formalities
1. Submission of application for climbing permit and coordination
with ministry of tourism in order to update climbers with the
progress.
2. Arrangements of first meeting with LO and Ministry
3. Briefing/de-briefing in the Ministry of tourism.
4. Processing application for satellite permit (if required)
5. Documentation for tax free import and export of mountaineering
equipment and food.
Liaison Officer
1. Liaison Officers daily allowance
2. Liaison Officers Food
3. Liaison Officers kit & equipment (As most of equipment
are not available in Pakistan, we import them from branded manufacturers)

Transportation

2. Transportation from Islamabad to Islamabad including minibuses,
jeeps etc. with all expedition luggage.

Hotels for members of the expedition on the basis of double occupancy
in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, and full board in rest of the cities

Luggage and Cargo

about 75kg while your departures towards base camp and 50kgs on
your way back from base camp. You will be responsible to pay if
your luggage exceeds above the allowed kgs.
5. Storage of your un-wanted belongings in Islamabad or Skardu,
which you do not need during your adventure.
Miscellaneous Services Included in the Price
1. Mail delivery at the base camp
2. Reconfirmation of international flight tickets
3. Arrangement of high altitude porters (if required).
4. Arrangement of high altitude tents (VE 25 North Face Tents)
on payment.
5. A fare-well dinner will be hosted in one of the best restaurants
or hotels in Rawalpindi/Islamabad with your staff who will be
coming back with you from the base camp or your adventure.
Taxes and Fees
The following fees and taxes are included in our quotation, for
members, crew and porters.

International air ticket, airport
taxes, Cargo fee & custom charges for import & export,
beverages, laundry, sleeping bags, high altitude porters and food
above base camp for members and high porters, climbing equipment
etc.
1. Notes:
2. If any member splits from the expedition for his/her own reason,
that member will bear all transportation costs on the way back
to Rawalpindi.
3. In case of damage to the base camp tent, the Expedition member
will be charged original value of tent. |
