Noijin Khangsang - 7206m.

Country: Tibet
Description

A few hours away from Lhasa to the southward, towering the Frienship Highway joining Lhasa to Kathmandu, arises the beautiful Noijin Khangsang.

It is situated in the Lhagoi Kangri Mountain Range and it straddles the boundaries of the counties of Gyantze and Nakartse. That peak has been during long time ignored by the climbers always focused on 8 000 metres summits. So much so that it has been climbed only four times till today. The last successful team was a six member japaneese one in august 2002 with summit done on August 15, 2002. Nojin Khangsang access is very easy for the road from Shigatse to Gyanyse passes nearby. The normal route climbs up to the south ridge then up to the western one without any difficulty.
