Explore SIKKIM & Darjeeling
High above the heat and dust of the Indian plains, cradled by the towering peaks of the Himalayas, lies Sikkim. A land of awesome beauty and color. It shares its borders with the countries of Tibet, Bhutan, India and Nepal. Nestled in the grandeur of snow-capped mountains and lush-green tea planations lies the "Queen of the Hills" Darjeeling. A holiday resort of the Victorian era, it still exudes its past grandeur, charm and majesty.

Itinerary

1. day:  Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar and drive to Gangtok. Overnight in hotel.
2. day:  Sightseeing of Gangtok.
3. day:  Drive to Pemayangtse; enroute vist a Tibetan settlement.
4. day:  Visit the old palace relics of Rabtentse and continue to Lake Khechopelri.
5. day:  Visit Tashiding monastery and on to Darjeeling.
6. day:  Sightseeing Darjeeling.
7. day:  Tiger Hill, Ghoom monastery and a drive on the famous "Toy Train" from Darjeeling.
8. day:  Return to Biratnagar and fly back to Kathmandu.

Entry Formalities

All foreigners intending to visit Sikkim hava to avail an Indian visa which can be obtained at any Indian Embassy or Mission abroad. The inner state permit which is also a must can be obtained along with the visa.
