Covering an area of over 400 square Km, all of it above 4000m Deowsai plateau is an uniquely beautiful region. In China word translates literally as giants “abode”, and it isn’t hard to see how a landscape on such a massive scale could have inspired stories of giants. In Baltit, the region is known as Bhear Sar, meaning “Place of flowers”, and apt discretion during summers. It contrasts sharply with the ring of Jagged rocky mountains that surround it on all sides. Gently rolling hills extend into the distance as far as the eye can see, clothed in a soft cladding of vegetation and carpeted with brightly colored flowers in summers the Plateaus, rivers meanwhile flow pass crystal clear and icy cold. You get an unmistakable since of the elevation here, in the huge expense of Horizon, the wild open space and the clarity of light and colors typical of such high altitudes

The Deowsai is at its best from –mid July to late August . While the weather can be glorious day time during this period, temperatures drop dramatically at night, an can also turn nasty very quickly, with intense windstorms often sweeping across the plateau the rivers can be impossible in a vehicles when in spate,( usually during June and early July)

Itinerary

Day 01 ISLAMABAD (350 Km) D)
After breakfast at hotel and sight seeing Capital of Pakistan Islamabad including Shah Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh view point of twin of cities and Raja bazaar at Rawalpindi. Dinner and Over night at Hotel.
Day 02 ISLAMABAD/ CHILAS (490KM)
Drive to Chilas 10/12 hrs Journey on karakarum highway 8th wonder of the world along the mighty Indus river through the Kohistan valley, en route visit Shatial Rock Carving from Buddhists period ( 4th AD to 8th Ad) on arrival Chilas transfer to Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 03 CHILAS/ ASTORE RAMA ( 170 KM)
Today we will 4X4 open jeeps to Astore Rama 6/7 hrs. Rama is one beautiful Place in Northern Areas of Pakistan with lush green meadows, snow caped Mountains and pine trees on arrival transfer to PTDC Resorts Dinner and overnight at Motel.
Day 04 ASTORE RAMA Excursion to Lake.
Hike to Rama lake with magnificent view of Nanga Parbat (8125 M) along Rama River, visit blue crystal clear lake with amazing reflection of snow caped mountains. And back to Rama for dinner and over night.
Day 05 ASTORE RAMA / DEOWSAI / SKARDU
Drive to Skardu over Deowsai Plaines which famous for wild flora and fauna you will see many flowers and lakes and flashing crystal clear rivers, then proceed to Skardu on arrival transfer to hotel for Dinner and overnight.
Day 06 SKARDU
Full day sight seeing of Skardu including Kachura lake, Shangri la and Skardu bazaar Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 07 SUN SKARDU / KARIMABAD
Drive to Karimabad Hunza ( 8/9 hrs) through the narrow gorge of Karakoram and Himalayas along the mighty Indus river en route stop at Rakaposhi view point to see the majestic view of Rakaposhi (7788M) on arrival Karimabad transfer to Hotel for Dinner and overnight.
Day 08 KARIMABAD
Morning Excursion to Hoper Glacier and afternoon visit Baltit Fort and bazaar Dinner and Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 KARIMABAD / GILGIT (110 KM)
Drive back to Gilgit (3hrs) afternoon visit Bazaar and Gilgit Bridge. Dinner and Over night at hotel.
Day 10 GILGIT / BESHAM (355 KM)
Journey back on KKH en route stop at meeting point of three mighty mountain ranges Karakarum, Himalayas and Hindukush. Latter proceed to Besham on arrival transfer to hotel for Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 11 BESHAM /ISLAMABAD (275 KM)
Drives back to Islamabad en route visit ancient city of Taxila, Taxila Museum, Sirkap city latter precede Islamabad, early Dinner and over night at hotel.
Day 12 Departure
Transfer to Airport for Onward flight.
