you experience the formerly
forbidden city of Lhasa, the
spiritual and secular capital
of Tibet, and the Hindu Kingdom
of Nepal. You will get to
see the Kathmandu valley and
beautiful, rural Dhulikhel. |
Itinerary |
Day
1: Arrive at Kathmandu &
transfer to the Yak &
Yeti Hotel. Get a first glimpse
of the Kathmandu Durbar Square
with its myriad of temples.
Day 2: Sightseeing of Pashupatinath,
the center of Hinduism and
Bodnath, the realm of Buddhism.
After your lunch visit Patan,
the second Royal city &
Swayambhunath, the mystique
place overlooking the valley.
Day 3: Fly to Lhasa &
transfer to the Lhasa Hotel.
Weather permitting, this is
a flight with exceptional
vistas: first the gargantuan
Himalayan chain and then the
wide Tibetan plateau. In the
afternoon explore Lhasa.
Day 4: Visit the Jokhang,
Barkhor & Tib. Medical
Centre. In the afternoon Norbulinka,
the summer palace of the Dalai
Lamas.
Day 5: Visit the magnificent
Potala and in the afternoon
Drepung, the biggest Monastic
University of Tibet.
Day 6: Fly to Kathmandu &
transfer to the Hotel Mirabel
in Dhulikhel. Discover the
near-by village and hike up
to the Kali temple.
Day 7: Breakfast with a view
... take a stroll and in the
afternoon it's back to the
Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport. |
