Manang Valley
|
Country: Nepal |
Description |
|
A
better part of this Tibetan-style
village is concealed behind
a massive rock outcrop.
The houses here are stacked
one atop another. The gompa
perched high on a crag has
an outstanding display of
antique icons, thangkas
and manuscripts. The Managis
are of Tibetan origin and
are Buddhists. A trip to
Bhojo Gompa, on the ridge
between Braga and Manang
will prove extremely rewarding.
