The
Langtang valley is located
just south of the Tibetan
border - a narrow valley
sandwiched between the main
Himalayan range and lesser
snow-bound mountains to
the south. It has a lot
to offer: lovely Tamang
and Sherpa villages, Buddhist
gompas and pristine nature.

Itinerary |
Day
01 : Kyangjin Gompa ( 3840m)
Starting from Ghoratabala
into wide alpine country reach
the large village of Langtang,
a Bhotia settlement in about
3 hours. Hnolher 3 hours leads
to Kyangjin Gompa.
Day 02 : Langshisha Move east
wards to Langshisha glacier,
which may take upto 7 hours.
From here, you can see Langtang
Lirung Peak (7246m) and the
Ganesh Himal (7406m) to the
west. And to the south, there
are views of Ganjala Himal
(5864m) and the High pass
(5132m) that leads to Helumbu.
Day 03 : Return back to Kyangjin
Gompa.
Day 04 : Fly out to Kathmandu
in the morning. |
