Ladakh
is located to the very north
of the indian subcontinent
and is also known as the
"Little Tibet". From the
capital of Leh many monasteries
can be visited: Sanker,
Spituk, Phyang, Sabu, Shey,
Tikze, Stakna, Chemre, Tak
Tok and Hemis. One day excursions
by car are the monasteries
of Basgo, Likir, Alchi and
Lamayuru.
A

Itinerary |

Day
01. Arrive at Delhi, transfer
to Domestic Airport for
your flight to Leh. Arrive
at Leh, transfer to hotel.
In the afternoon for your
acclimatization short walk
through Leh. Dinner and
overnight in hotel.
Day 02. In the morning hike
to Namgyal Tsemo. Afternoon
visit Sanker.
Day 03. Full day sightseeing.
Visit Shey, Thikse and Hemis.
Dinner and overnight in
hotel.
Day 04. Drive from Leh to
Likir. Enroute visit Basgo.
In Likir lunch in camp.Visit
the monastery of Likir.
Dinner and overnight in
tent.
Day 05. Trek from Likir
to Yangtang via the easy
passes of Pobe La and Charaste
La (5 h). Tent.
Day 06. Day hike to Ridzong
monastery. Back to Camp
in Yangtang.
Day 07. Yangtang to Hemis-Sukpachen (3h). Very nice
village monastery to visit.
Day 08. Hemis-Sukpachen to Ang and on to Tingsmogang
(4 - 5 h).
Day 09. Drive to Lamayuru, visit this famous monastery
in the afternoon..
Day 10. Hike to Wanla via
the Prinkit La (3.720 m),
4 - 5 h. Wanla has an old
monastery from the 11. century
(Alchi-style).
Day 11. By vehicle to Tented
Camp at Saspol. Overnight
in Safari tents. Restaurant
and shower at Camp.
Day 12. Walk to Alchi Overnight
in Saspol.
Day 13. Explore the area
around Saspol.
Day 14. After breakfast
drive back to Leh. Overnight
in Hotel.
Day 15. Transfer to Airport
for your flight to Delhi.
Arrive at Delhi and drive
to Agra (6 h). Dinner and
overnight in Hotel.
Day 16. In the morning visit
Agra's Taj Mahal, Red Fort
and Fatehpur Sikri. Afternoon
return to Delhi. After dinner
transfer to Airport for
your international flight
home.
