| Bhutan is still one of the few untouched
countries in the world and a paradise for tourists interested
in Buddhist culture and philosophy. Its flora and fauna,
the impressive Dzongs and the meticulous houses as well
as the Bhutanese dresses make for something very special. |
Itinerary |
1. Day: Arrive at PARO. You will be
met at the airport and transfer provided to Thimpu (65
Kms./2 hrs. Approx.) O/nt at Htl.
2. Day: THIMPU: Full day local sightseeing tour.
Visit the Indigenous hospital where traditional medicine
is still practiced, the Arts & Crafts school, the
National library, the Royal goldsmithÕs workshop
and Handicraft centers. PM visit the Memorial chorten.
Also visit the 15 century Changangkha monastery, the
Motithang mini zoo to see the rare "Takin"
(national animal of Bhutan) and then take a short drive
for grand views of the Thimphu valley. Enroute visit
the new Drupthob nunnery. Evening spend at leisure or
visit the local market.
3. Day: Thimpu - Paro (65 kms./2hrs.)
AM:
After breakfast drive leisurely to Paro.
PM:
Drive through the Paro valley to see the Drukgyel Dzong/
Kyichu Lhakhang. On a clear day one can see the Majestic
Jhomolhari Mountain or better known as The Mountain
of Goddess (7314mts.). Also visit the National Museum
located in the Ta Dzong which displays a rich collection
of fine arts and weapons. O/nt at Htl.
4. Day: Drive to airport for your flight. |
